Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Definitions

  • Court amount / court share: The portion of the venue’s court price allocated to you (either the full amount for solo bookings, or your split share for group/match formats).
  • Service fee / platform fee: Fees charged by Dribbl to operate the platform (these can include a percentage fee and/or a flat fee).
  • Wallet refund: A credit to your Dribbl wallet balance.

2. Core refund principle

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, refunds issued by Dribbl are for the court amount (court share) only. Service/platform fees are non-refundable.

This includes processor-related components embedded in the platform fee (for example, Paystack processing costs). Only the refundable court component is returned.

3. Payment collection and vendor payouts

Dribbl collects card payments through Paystack and holds booking proceeds until sessions complete. Vendor shares are paid out via bank transfer after eligibility checks (including a short post-session buffer). Refund calculations are based on the court component only, unless required otherwise by law.

Eligible player refunds are credited to Dribbl wallet balances, not returned to the original card.

4. Open Matches

  • Auto-cancellation: Open Matches may be auto-cancelled approximately 24 hours before the start time if the match is not full.
  • Refunds: If an Open Match is cancelled, your court share is refunded to your wallet. Service/platform fees are not refunded.
  • Lock-in logic: In certain match formats, payment may be authorized first and captured only when a match reaches viability conditions. If capture does not occur, no refund event is required.

5. Payment deadlines (general)

Some bookings and group formats require payments to be completed by a deadline.

  • If a booking is cancelled due to a missed payment deadline: any participants who have already paid are refunded (to their wallet) for the amount they paid, following the core refund principle above.

6. Venue/operator cancellations

Dribbl facilitates bookings between players and venues. In some cases, cancellations or refund rules may be determined by the venue/operator. Where the venue’s policy applies, Dribbl will help communicate and facilitate where possible, but the final decision may rest with the venue.
